Pecan Chocolate Turtles

Pecan Chocolate Turtles
30 1 1/2-inch chocolate chip cookies
1 package (9 ounces) soft and chewy caramel
4 teaspoons water
120 pecan halves
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate pieces
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Cover two baking sheets with waxed paper; coat with nonstick cooking spray and arrange cookies on paper.
Combine caramels and water in a large microwave-safe glass measuring cup. Microwave, uncovered, at full power for 30 seconds. Stir to mix. Microwave 15 seconds more until liquidy. Top each cookie with 1/2 teaspoon caramel mixture.
Press 4 pecan halves into caramel mixture on each cookie to resemble turtle feet.
Place chocolate pieces in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at full power about 1 minute or until melted. Spoon 1 teaspoon of chocolate on cookies on top of pecans. Sprinkle some chopped pecan over soft chocolate. Refrigerate at least 45 minutes to set chocolate.
Makes 30 cookies
