Algonquin
• A Lake in the Hills man was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Friday at Randall Road and Corporate Parkway. Mark K. Gilbert, 34, of 410 Wright Drive, was charged on a McHenry County warrant with failure to appear in court for a charge of driving with a expired license, police said. Gilbert posted a $300 bond and was given a Feb. 21 court date in Woodstock.
• A Wauconda man was stopped at 9:45 p.m. Saturday on the 1900 block of Randall Road. Eric M. Larsen, 20, of 2664 N. East Lake Shore Drive, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, police said. Larsen was released on recognizance with a Feb. 13 court date in Woodstock.
Elgin
• An Elgin man found passed out behind the wheel of his running car was arrested on drug charges at 4:15 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of National Street, police said. Jose Gonzalez, 31, of 611 Chester Ave., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a fraudulent identification card after 1.4 grams of cocaine and a fake permanent resident card were found, police said. He also was wanted on two outstanding warrants, one of them for driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. Gonzalez was held in the Kane County jail on $4,500 bond with Jan. 23 and Jan. 28 court dates at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• An Elgin man was accused at 4 p.m. Sunday of raising a brick above his head and threatening to kill a 27-year-old woman in his apartment on the 300 block of Ann Street, police said. Adrian Razo, 31, of 377 Ann St., Unit 2, was charged with aggravated assault in court Monday, police said. Razo was unable to post a $1,000 bond and remains in the Elgin lockup. His next court date is on Jan. 27 at Elgin branch court.
• A car was stolen at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, but the thief didn't realize a 2-year-old child was in a car seat in the back seat. The thief stopped a short while later and left the child nearby. The black 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass was left running by the child's father and was stolen from the 900 block of North Liberty Street. The thief wearing a black jacket and a black stocking cap put the child out at Liberty Street and Page Avenue.
Huntley
• Three students at Huntley High School were arrested before a field trip Thursday. They were charged with drinking an alcoholic beverage. All three were issued court dates of Feb. 7 in Woodstock.
• Two watches and one gold ring were reported stolen Friday from an apartment on the 11400 block of East Main Street. The total value of the stolen items is about $800.
• An Algonquin driver was stopped and arrested Saturday. Karl A. Maxie, 23, of 3680 White Deer, was arrested on an outstanding McHenry County warrant for failure to appear in court and he was cited for having expired plates on his car. Maxie posted a $300 and was released with a Feb. 26 Woodstock court date.
South Elgin
• Police were called to Tequila's Bar and Grill at 12:45 a.m. Sunday where they issued the business a citation. Owner German Lemus, 35, who gave the 1101 N. LaFox St. business as his address in South Elgin, was cited for disorderly premise under the village ordinance, according to a report. A police officer stated he could hear loud music from the bar/grill while he was standing in the living room of a nearby home. Lemus is scheduled to appear in Elgin branch court on Feb. 19.
