• John Kincaid of Wheaton, recently contributed to a taping of a half-hour program called, "Identity Theft Awareness and Prevention" as part of the Illinois Law cable television series produced by the Illinois State Bar Association. The 32,000-member association provides professional services to lawyers, and education and services to the public. Kincaid is an attorney with the Wheaton law firm Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick and Mirabella.

• Jenna Duff and Caitlin Smith, both of Itasca, and Christiana Spink of Villa Park were all named Illinois State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. The annual recognition of high school seniors who rank in the top 10-percent of their class is based on achievement exam scores and/or class rank at the end of their junior year. All three girls attend Walther Lutheran High School in Melrose Park.

• Annmarie Stanley of Warrenville, a student at Rosary High School in Aurora, achieved a perfect score of 36 on the ACT college entrance exam. An award for the high school, recognizing the academic distinction, was accepted by Principal Sr. Patricia Burke at the annual Illinois ACT Council conference in Lisle.

• Matt Cooney, Stan Kosek and Harry Schaudt, all of Villa Park, have been named cast members for the production of "Matrimony, Mayhem and Murder" by the GreenMan Theatre Troupe of Elmhurst. The mystery-comedy will be staged Feb. 16, 17, 22 and 23 at Angelo's Ristorante in Elmhurst.

• Jim Miner of West Chicago was named Student of the Month at Community High School District 94 in West Chicago. A member of the football team for four years, Miner was named to the DuPage Valley All-Conference Team for football as a senior. He is also a member of the National Honor Society in recognition of his high academic achievement. Miner plans to be a pre-med major in college, and hopes to become a pediatrician.
