Crystal Lake South d. Huntley: The Gators (11-0, 3-0) remained undefeated as they downed Huntley (13-5, 1-2) 25-21, 25-20 in Fox Valley (Valley) play. Caitlin Schumacher led the Gators with 7 kills while Taylor Granell added 6 kills to go along with 6 digs. Chelsea Sirovatka also chipped in 13 assists. The Red Raiders were led offensively by Ashley Smith who recorded 9 kills, and Amy Dion led defensively with 6 digs.
Streamwood d. East Aurora: The Sabres were able to come up with an Upstate Eight Conference victory on the road defeating East Aurora 25-21, 25-21. Faustyna Kozak paced the Sabres with 6 kills and 1 block while Lindsey Carroll added 3 aces for the victory.
Bartlett d. Waubonsie Valley: The Hawks (14-4, 2-2) picked up another Upstate Eight Conference victory at home handling Waubonsie Valley 25-13, 25-13. Carly Sahagian recorded a team high 8 kills while Alyssa Cazzato added 8 assists. Kelsey Quinn registered 6 digs.
Burlington Central d. North Boone: The Rockets (11-5, 2-0) used a strong team serving performance which included 19 aces to cruise to an easy 25-10, 25-8 Big Northern East conference victory over North Boone. Stephanie Holthus paced the Rocket offense with 9 aces to go along with 10 kills. Sam Bohne added 5 aces and 4 digs while Kaitlyn O'Reilly recorded 10 assists and 1 ace.
Elgin d. South Elgin: The Storm (2-8-1, 0-3) remained winless in Upstate conference action falling to the Maroons 25-20, 28-26. Amber Schnecke led the Storm with 6 kills while Courtney Sanocki added 12 assists in the loss.
Hampshire d. Richmond-Burton: The Whip-Purs (12-2, 2-0) pulled off a thrilling 3-game Big Northern East victory against visiting Richmond-Burton 25-11, 20-25, 25-17. Amy and Kara Wehrs led the Whip-Purs with 17 and 13 kills respectively while Leigh-Anne Libby added 18 assists. Tia Incaprio paced the defense with 26 digs.
Cary-Grove d. McHenry: The Trojans (14-1, 3-0) remained undefeated in Fox Valley (Valley) play pulling out a 25-9, 25-16 road victory over McHenry. Ashley Rosch (7 kills), Colleen Hargrove (5 blocks), and Kory Kronsfrost (7 digs) all contributed in the Trojan victory.
Westminster Christian d. Walther Lutheran: The Warriors (13-7, 1-2) pulled out a tight victory defeating Walther Lutheran 25-18, 29-27. Hanna Graves recorded 6 kills, 15 assists, and 4 digs while Cara Tyrell added 4 kills, 4 aces, and 8 digs. Katie Webster registered 3 aces and 3 digs while also turning in a stellar passing performance.
