Cajun Prime Rib Roast

1 bone-in standing rib roast (5-6 pounds)8 large garlic cloves2 green onions 1/4 cup fresh rosemary leaves 1/4 cup fresh oregano leaves 1/4 cup fresh thyme leaves 1/2 teaspoon file powder1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning2 teaspoons kosher salt2 teaspoons fresh cracked pepper2 tablespoons whole grain mustard2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce3 tablespoons olive oilPrepare gas or charcoal grill.Allow the roast to stand at room temperature for about 45 minutes prior to cooking.Remove the leaves from all of the herbs and chop finely. Mince garlic and green onion.To a bowl add the fresh herbs, garlic and onion, remaining spices, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and oil, mix together and form a paste.Cover the top and sides of the roast with the mixture and grill over medium direct heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours for medium rare. Loosely cover the roast for 20-30 minutes and allow to rest.Transfer to cutting board and remove the bones.
