McHenry County Historical Society seeks donations of goods, antiques

Every year, the Heritage Fair Fundraising committee for the nonprofit McHenry County Historical Society seeks items of all kinds. Especially wanted this year are: antique furniture (dated before 1950); books or brochures; toys and games; kitchen, farm, and garden collectibles; vintage clothing and/or vintage accessories; or McHenry County memorabilia.

If you wish to donate any of these articles, call (815) 923-2267 to drop off at the museum at 6422 Main St., Union, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. The McHenry County Historical Society offers an award-winning mobile museum "The James;" West Harmony, the 1895 one-room school; the 1847 Gannon Log Cabin, and the new exhibit,"Arrival - The 1890s" featuring Marengo.
