Tiramisu

1 pound mascarpone cheese3 tablespoons sugar2 tablespoons rum2 tablespoons orange liqueur1-2 cups whipping cream24 lady fingers or savoiardi1 1/2 cups cold espresso8 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped8 ounces toasted almonds, finely choppedIn large bowl combine mascarpone, sugar, rum and orange liqueur and beat until smooth.In chilled bowl using electric mixer whip the cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold whipped cream into mascarpone.Put lady fingers into a shallow pan and lightly moisten cookies with coffee. Arrange half the lady fingers in a single layer on bottom or sides of 9-inch diameter trifle dish or 9-by-13-inch pan. Spread half the cheese and cream mixture over lady fingers, sprinkle with half the chocolate and almonds. Repeat with remaining lady fingers, cheese and cream, chocolate and nuts. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
