Streubie's Ribs

6 cups beef broth1 cup red wineSalt and pepper to taste1 tablespoon minced garlic6 pounds baby back ribsBarbecue sauce2 1/2 cups ketchup1 tablespoon Dijon mustard1 cup bourbon1 tablespoon honey 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon tarragon1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar1 1/2 teaspoons onion powderHeat grill to 350 degrees.In large roasting pan combine broth, wine, salt, pepper and garlic. Add ribs, cover and cook on grill 1 hour; remove from heat for 30 minutes. Return to grill for 40 minutes.For the sauce: In a large bowl, combine ketchup, mustard, bourbon, honey, pepper, tarragon, Worcestershire, vinegar and onion powder. Set aside.Remove ribs from pan and place directly on grill grate over indirect heat, for 20 minutes, basting with sauce every 10 minutes. Store remaining sauce in refrigerator; use on any type of meat or poultry.Serves four to six.Nutrition values per serving: 586 calories, 41 g fat (15 g saturated), 12 g carbohydrates, 1 g fiber, 34 g protein, 163 mg cholesterol, 647 mg sodium.
