Wednesday's Fox Valley roundup

Huntley 64, North Grand 32: The Red Raiders (8-4) scored early and often as they cruised to a victory over North Grand in the Chuck Dayton Tournament at DeKalb.

Tyler Brunschon and Dylan Neukirch each turned in double-digit performances to lead the Red Raiders with 18 points apiece.

Harlem 69, Burlington Central 64: The Rockets (4-7) fell behind early and were never quite able to recover as they were defeated by Harlem in the Chuck Dayton Tournament at DeKalb.

Ray Hunnicutt and Shane Larkin led the Rockets offensively with 14 points apiece while Zach Romando also turned in double-digits with 10 points.

Hampshire 37, LaSalle-Peru 31: The Whip-Purs (6-4) used the free-throw line to their advantage Wednesday as they hit 19-of-21 free throws to secure a win in the Chuck Dayton Tournament at DeKalb over LaSalle-Peru.

Sophomore Tyler Watzlawick led the way for the Whip-Purs scoring 14 points while Justin Bieber added 10 points.

Loyola 47, Streamwood 44: The Sabres (4-8) tried to mount a comeback after going into halftime down 29-17, but fell just short as they were defeated by Loyola in the Wheeling Hardwood Classic.

Derrick King was the lone Sabre to reach double-digits with 11 points.

Willowbrook 55, Dundee-Crown 43: The Chargers (1-8) started off slow and could not recover as they fell to Willowbrook at the Elgin Holiday Tournament.

Sean Bernhard paced the Chargers, recording double-digits with 14 points.

Woodstock 46, St. Edward 40: The Green Wave (5-8) fell just short as Woodstock pulled away with the victory at the Jacobs Holiday Tournament.

D.J. Barnes was the only Green Wave player to record double-digits as he led St. Edward with 12 points.

Crystal Lake South 50, Lindblom 35: The Gators (5-6) turned in a balanced offensive performance as they cruised to victory over Lindblom at the Jacobs Holiday Tournament.

Tyler Dawson (13 points), Kevin Rogers (10 points), and Ryan Price (10 points) all led the Gators with double-digits.

Cary-Grove 57, Wauconda 50: The Trojans (5-7) used a 22 point-fourth quarter to propel themselves to a victory over Wauconda at the Jacobs Holiday Tournament.

Chad McCarron poured in 24 points to lead the Trojans in double-digit scoring while Nick Richter added 16 points.
