COD adds 3+1 Transfer Pathway for accounting students with long-standing partner Lewis University

COD Accounting students now have a convenient, affordable and streamlined approach to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting thanks to a new 3+1 agreement with Lewis University.

Through the program, students complete their first three years of study through COD, while the fourth year is taught by Lewis faculty at a reduced tuition rate. To be eligible for the program, students must have completed an Associate in Applied Science degree in Accounting.

In addition to the 3+1 program, students have an opportunity to earn a Business Analytics Credly badge through Lewis as well as an option to continue on to a master's program with a tuition discount.

"This program exemplifies COD's mission to make education more affordable for its students while stressing academic quality," said COD Accounting Professor Maureen McBeth.

The new agreement is made possible through an existing institutional partnership between COD and Lewis.

Through the partnership, COD and Lewis offer several 3+1 pathways for students to earn a bachelor's degree in various academic disciplines, including Criminal/Social Justice, Computer Science, Cybersecurity and Information Technology.

The program consists of 128 to 134 credit hours, including 94 to 98 credit hours of COD courses and 32 to 34 credit hours of Lewis coursework. Students who graduated from COD and went elsewhere can be considered for admission for the 3+1 program if they complete any necessary prerequisites. A transcript evaluation needs to be completed by both schools.
