Importance of Employee Handbooks Focus of Upcoming Seminar

Schaumburg-based Lavelle Law will continue their Breakfast Briefs series on Nov. 8 with a presentation on the importance of employee handbooks. The meeting will explain why employee handbooks are important, discuss the critical components, and highlight Illinois law changes coming in 2024 that merit a review and update of existing handbooks. The event will take place from 7:45 to 9 a.m. at 1933 N. Meacham Road, in Schaumburg.

"This presentation will serve as an essential resource for businesses and HR professionals, underlining the importance of how employee handbooks can protect them relative to state and federal employment laws," said Lavelle Law attorney Lance Ziebell.

Ziebell will be the key presenter along with Lavelle Law Managing Partner Ted McGinn. The two offer combined experience in employment law, business litigation, business formation, and labor law issues.

"We think attendees can position their businesses to minimize the legal challenges and maintain a compliant and harmonious workplace," McGinn said. "Lance is highly experienced in the value of employee handbooks and will share some important details on appropriate composition while also looking ahead to new laws that will require updating current materials."

Doors will open at 7:45 a.m. for a complimentary continental breakfast with the presentation scheduled to run from 8:to 9 a.m. Because seating is limited, registration is required for the free event. For details or to register visit https://bit.ly/46XLcYL.
