Children's Theatre of Western Springs to present beloved musical 'Mary Poppins Jr.'

The Children's Theatre of Western Springs is putting on "Mary Poppins Jr.," a practically perfect family-friendly show that promises to enchant audiences of all ages. This beloved classic will be brought to life by a talented cast of young performers.

Join them for this magical journey as Mary Poppins takes the stage from Dec. 8-17 at the historic Theatre of Western Springs, 4384 Hampton Ave. in Western Springs. This heartwarming production is a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season with your family and friends.

Based on the timeless stories of P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film, "Mary Poppins Jr." features all your favorite songs, including "Chim Chim Cher-EE," "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," and "A Spoonful of Sugar."

The show follows the adventures of the Banks family, as they learn valuable life lessons from the magical and enigmatic Mary Poppins.

"Mary Poppins Jr." is directed by Brandt, with musical direction by Steve Scherer and choreography by Joe Savino. The production is made possible through the dedication of enthusiastic young students, both onstage and backstage, and a team of skilled professionals who are passionate about bring this iconic story to life.

Performances will be 7 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8-17.

Ticket prices are $16 or $13 for kids under age 18.
