Lavelle Law Breakfast Briefs in September to Focus on Probate
Understanding how Probate Court works and the implications on virtually any family will be the topic of an upcoming Breakfast Briefs presentation hosted by Lavelle Law. The event will take place on Sept. 13 from 7:45 to 9 a.m. at 1933 North Meacham Road.
"We liken probate discussions to a large family gathering where any individual at the table could be a probate case or contested estate waiting to happen," said Lavelle Law Shareholder Brian Warens, who will serve as co-host for the seminar. "Oftentimes, we fail to see the warning signs until we are served with a subpoena or worse yet, a summons."
Joining Warens will be Lavelle Law attorney Nataly Kaiser. Among the topics covered will be contested guardianship proceedings, petitions to suspend or revoke Powers of Attorney, elder abuse and financial exploitation, contested estate administration, and will contest or renunciation.
"Every extended family is made up of unique individuals with their own interests and behaviors," said Warens. "Understanding how probate court works can help you protect your loved ones or keep you from staring down the wrong side of a contested matter."
Doors will open at 7:45 a.m. for a complimentary continental breakfast with Warens and Kaiser beginning the discussion at 8 a.m. Because seating is limited, registration is required.
