Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Charles came to the USA upon an invitation from Mr. Buddy Guy's management to appear at Legends in Chicago. After traveling and performing with some of Chicago's greats, his heart and head told him America is where he needed to bring his career.

Some thirty years later, still driven, and touring annually and internationally for over twenty years Michael is honoured and recognized in his home state as an Illinois ArtsTour Roster artist. The Illinois Presenters Network, in collaboration with the Illinois Arts Council Agency, choose artists based on their artistic and technical quality of their work, their professionalism, and the artist's ability to tour.

What you can expect:

A non-stop concert by this Grammy elected artist and his band as they take you on a guitar driven journey through thirty-nine years and forty releases of original music. The precision and level of energy is just spectacular and will leave you astounded by the driving force, the contemporary blues, and the soulful ballads of Michael Charles.
