Explore wisdom, wonder and wellness April 23 at College of DuPage Senior Expo

The College of DuPage Continuing Education department presents the Wisdom, Wonder and Wellness Senior Expo 2023 from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at the Robert J. Miller Homeland Security Center, Room 1022, on the College's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The free community event will feature an afternoon of enriching and entertaining seminars with a focus on financial literacy, health and wellness, travel and volunteerism. Registration is required.

The keynote presentation for the expo will be "Amelia Earheart: A First-Person Portrayal by Leslie Goddard," in which Amelia will describe her experiences as the first woman to fly solo and cross the Atlantic Ocean by airplane. She will recount how and why she decided to learn to fly and what fueled her intrepid desire to fly around the world in 1937.

Leslie Goddard holds a Ph.D. in U.S. history and American Studies and two master's degrees in theater and in museum studies. She is an award-winning scholar and actress who has been portraying famous female historical figures for more than a decade.
