Glenbard Parent Series speaker will discuss power of curiosity and collaboration

On Tuesday, April 18, the Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present "Empowering Students Today with the Career Skills of Tomorrow" with author John Spencer.

It will be at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Go to glenbardgps.org for further information and the link to this webinar.

Students will need problem-solving and communication skills, resilience and flexibility no matter what field they enter. Spencer believes that members of tomorrow's workforce will also need to be curious and collaborative. Nurturing these characteristics will help students have agency over their education and become self-directed learners who can navigate challenges. Spencer will share techniques to help students increase achievement and prepare for the future.

Spencer, who is an educator, researcher and professor, is a leading voice on the power of collaborative design thinking and project-based learning to inspire students and drive engagement.
