Road Home Program at Rush has been changing veterans lives for 9 years

Since opening our doors in March of 2014, the Road Home Program at Rush University Medical Center has been caring for veterans and their families, who are struggling with the invisible wounds of war and life. Those invisible wounds include post-traumatic stress disorder, military sexual trauma, traumatic brain injury, depression, and anxiety.

The Road Home Program has grown from a team of seven, to now having over 65 team members, serving over 4,000 veterans and family members since March of 2014.

The Road Home Program has outpatient programs, along with a two-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which provides up to eight months of therapy and programing that has proven to be life changing.

As one veteran who completed the Road Home Program IOP said, "this is the way mental health care should be provided, it has changed my life."

We have heard these comments over the years, and the greatest reason for our success resides with our dynamic and dedicated team, focused on helping veterans manage their traumas with therapy and programming that gives them the tools of resiliency, hope, and purpose.

To learn more about the Road Home Program, go to roadhomeprogram.org and if you know of a veteran or a family member of a veteran that is struggling with PTSD, MST, depression, or anxiety, call (312) 942-8387(VETS). The Road Home Program is here to help veterans in Illinois and throughout the United States. The results have been incredible! So, as we celebrate nine years of changing lives, please do not hesitate to let veterans know about the Road Home Program at Rush.
