You get the WACI Group every Monday, a free online class run by Michael and Judy Yublosky, seniors themselves and digital concierges, who run an online technology class providing seniors practical hands-on use of computers and the Internet.

No sign up. Just drop in.

Check the upcoming class schedule at https://seniorplanet.org/classes/ and scroll down for a link to the next WACI Group program, which run every Monday at 4 p.m. Central, 5 p.m. Eastern.

WACI Group on Mondays serve up suggestions and information about programs, applications, browsers and search engines, updates, backups, online safety and privacy, entertainment, bargains and discounts, and more. Although most apps and programs they discuss run on Windows computers and Android phones, most also work equally well in the MAC and iOS world.

The audience is comprised mainly of retired boomers and silent gens who listen to the many insights and tips Michael and Judy eagerly share. Anyone can also ask questions to increase their knowledge or solve a challenge. Judy always adds her dash of humor that makes learning fun.

Judy and Michael are long-time residents of Buffalo Grove, IL. They each have a decades-long history of volunteer work and formed a senior adult social group in 2017 called SAGESofBG. Their current mission is to help enrich the lives of senior adults through technology training so people can safely and confidently enjoy the benefits of using their computers to explore the "world's most amazing electronic library."

Senior Planet is the flagship program of the national nonprofit Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) from AARP. The organization was founded in 2004, "to help seniors learn and use technology, so they could live better in the digital age."

Senior Planet provides newsletters, free classes and events through six regional locations and online activities. OATS formally joined the AARP family as a charitable affiliate in 2021.

Julie G. summed up her experience in 2022, when she wrote: "Thanks to all you and Senior Planet are providing for seniors who are trying to live a meaningful life in this complex world."
