Glenbard District 87 students earn College Board National Recognition awards

Glenbard High School District 87 congratulates the following students who earned academic recognition as part of the College Board National Recognition Programs:

• National African American Recognition Award recipients: Glenbard North student Mekonnen Zufan; Glenbard South student Christian Carter and Glenbard West students Aniya Clark, Haydon Green and Kamil Voges.

• National Hispanic Recognition Award recipients: Glenbard East students Natalie Serrano, Julianna Partida, Teresa Carmona, Kristen Ortiz and Marcos Chavez; Glenbard North students Jerry Garcia, Valeria Ocampo, Erika Ramos, Alexis Araiza, Jovani Trejo, Celine Espino, Zachary Balas, Jose Ramos, Peter Giron and Noah Diaz Strong; Glenbard South students Antonio Tapia, Antonio Alexander Serrano, Hans Herrera, Lucia Labarre and Sebastian Izaguirre; and Glenbard West students Andrea Hall, Eliana Williamson, Fiona Culhane, Juan Barajas, Jose Gonzalez and Katherine Krynen.

• National Indigenous Recognition Award recipients: Glenbard North student Sitarah Ali and Glenbard West student Eric Dare

Students earned qualifying scores on the Preliminary SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test or eligible Advanced Placement exams. These academic honors can be included in college and scholarship applications.
