Glenbard students selected for music All State Festival

Several Glenbard District 87 students were selected to perform or participate in the All State Festival as part of the Illinois Music Education Conference on Jan. 26-29 in Peoria.

Congratulations to the following students:

• Glenbard East students Lucas Logacho, tuba, All-State Band; Sofia Logacho, clarinet, All-State Band; Fiona Bilkey, Future Music Educator Seminar; Kristin Crisostomo, Future Music Educator Seminar; Jerry Cobos, All-State Composer, third-place rap/hip hop, Layers; and Lyel Pascasio, All-State Composer, honorable mention arranging, Happy Journey, and second-place remix, bebegurl

• Glenbard North students Nora Beckett, Alto 2, All-State Choir; Gail Creighton, flute, All-State Band

• Glenbard South choir students Gabriella Allaway, soprano 2; Alina Dukala, soprano 1; Eleanor Johnson, soprano 1; band students David Ankerberg, tuba; Matthew King, euphonium; Henry Lazzaro, clarinet; Matthew Smalley, clarinet; Gabrielle Michael, horn; and Calvin Scharf, string bass; and orchestra student Sofia Grimes, violin
