Artoberfest returns to West Chicago's Gallery 200

Gallery 200 at 103 W. Washington St. in West Chicago continues to bring vibrant works of art to the community this fall.

A new selection of fine art and gifts will be featured for the entire month of October in the annual Artoberfest show and sale.

The warm colors of the season inspire themes for paintings, drawings, photography, fabrics and wearable pieces of art.

The nine artists participating are Judi Horsley, Kathi Kuchler, Blue Kubica, Sharon Malec, Heide Morris, Britta Renwick, Rita Skarha, Kathy Stepaniuk and Marita Valdizan, representing a variety of media including paintings, drawings, photographs and three dimensional work, plus some whimsical pieces for the fall season.

An opening reception for the month-long exhibit will be held on Friday, Oct. 1, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The reception is free and open to the public. It is a great way to support the artists in the community.

This is the first one since COVID-19 pandemic started and the artists are excited to greet and talk with the guests. The first 50 guests receive goody bags. Masks are required.
