Cary-Grove Masons' Pack the Pantry event fills 27 food carts

The Cary-Grove Masons would like to thank the community for the recent success of their "Pack the Pantry" project.

Team members handed out "shopping lists" to shoppers entering Mariano's food store in Crystal Lake.

The lists contained suggested food and household staples and shoppers were asked to buy an item or two and deposit them in shopping carts positioned just outside the store.

The results were amazing - 27 carts were filled to overflowing! There were also generous cash contributions.

Everything collected was delivered to the Cary-Grove Food Pantry.
