Algonquin-Lake in the Hills

Aurora

When you #ShopSmall, you show your support for your community. This year Small Business Saturday falls on Nov. 28. Although this holiday season may look a little different, you can still share joy. The Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce encourages you to "Shop Small" and support your favorite small businesses - both in-store and online - all holiday season long.

Cary-Fox River Grove

This holiday season, the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce is encouraging you to "Keep the Cheer Here" by supporting local.

The Cary-Grove Community has one-of-a-kind dining, retail, experiential, and specialty local businesses. The chamber has rounded up some of the best places so you can knock out your holiday shopping without going too far. The "Keep the Cheer Here! Support Local Holiday Guide" is available at www.carygrovechamber.com.

In addition, save your Cary-Grove Community receipts from Nov. 21 and Dec. 17 for a chance to win $1,000 cash or a second-place prize of $300 in "Cary-Grove Cash." The Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Support Local Promotion campaign supports community businesses by offering drawing tickets for receipts of any goods or services purchased from Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce members between Nov. 21 and Dec. 17. Receipts can be dropped off at the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce office, 445 Park Ave., Cary, or emailed to info@carygrovechamber.com.

Crystal Lake

This holiday season, make it a priority to support locally owned businesses in downtown Crystal Lake. On Small Business Saturday Nov. 28 (and every day), Downtown Crystal Lake encourages residents to support the businesses that support your community.

Downtown merchants offer a wide variety of items at competitive prices. Many offer gift wrap, gift registry, special orders, and other personal services.

Small Business Saturday Nov. 28 was created in 2010 to get people to bypass the national chains on the first weekend of the shopping season and support locally owned stores and restaurants. Many small businesses are the heart and soul of Geneva. We need small businesses, and small businesses need us. There all little things that we can do that can make a big impact:

• Shop local and shop small - in person, by phone, or online - and take advantage of local delivery or curbside pickup.

• Buy gift cards for local businesses. Supporting them now helps them stay in business so you can use the cards later.

• Support local shops and restaurants throughout the holiday season and beyond will lessen the financial impact this outbreak is having on the community.

Remember this holiday season when you help small businesses, you help everyone in the community.

When you want to give the perfect gift, consider a Geneva gift certificate, redeemable for merchandise at more than 160 participating shops. Hampshire

The Hampshire Chamber of Commerce is offering a "5 for 50 Gift Card" with a minimum purchase $10 per restaurant.

Support five local restaurants and get a $50 gift card! Choose any 5 from these participating restaurants: Allen's Corner, Chick n Dip, Copper Barrel, Dairy Queen, Mama Toom Thai, Red Ox, Rosati's, Rose Garden, and Subway.

Submit your receipts from 5 of the above restaurants to the Hampshire Chamber, 113 W Oak Knoll Drive, Hampshire, and choose your gift card.

St. Charles

On Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28, be sure to stop in at local stores and restaurants.

Spend local this holiday season to win the holiday drawing contest.

This new campaign supports St. Charles Chamber of Commerce Small Businesses. The community is encouraged to "Spend Local, Support Local and Gift Local." Save your receipts for a chance to win up to $500, starting Small Business Saturday Nov. 28 to Dec. 26.

The first prize is up to $500, second prize is up to $250 and third prize is up to $100. The actual prize award will be a St. Charles Chamber gift card which can be used at any member establishment. The value of the prize will be based on the actual dollar amount spent at our local small business members, up to the maximum prize amount.

To be submitted in the drawing, members of the public are asked to drop off their receipts, from small businesses members, to the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, 216 Riverside Ave., by Jan. 11.

Winners will be pulled and announced on Jan. 18. All receipts must be placed in one envelope for drawing and include their name, phone number and email clearly written on the outside of the envelope.

Receipts must be dated between Nov. 28 to Dec. 26. Eligible receipts will be verified, per contest requirements, to be entered into drawing. Small business is defined as locally owned and managed, as determined by the St. Charles Chamber.

Now more than ever, local businesses need your support.

If you can't visit a shop in person, consider ordering online or purchasing a gift card. The St. Charles Chamber of Commerce offers gift cards in various amounts that can be used at several participating businesses in St. Charles.

Online you can purchase gift cards at values $10, $25, $50, $75, and $100 at stcharleschamber.com/giftcards/. If you would like a different customized amount between $5-1000, you can call the chamber at (630) 584-8384.

You will have the option to pick up the card from the chamber office, or they can mail it to your address; they will mail within 2 business days.

Sugar Grove

The Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce says when you shop local, more of your money will be kept in the local economy. You embrace what makes your community unique, and you help create local jobs. The chamber encourages residents to "Shop. Eat. Enjoy. Repeat."
