Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans gets Operation Helping Heroes donation from COUNTRY Financial

COUNTRY Financial representative Deb Stob is pleased to announce the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans as a 2020 recipient of a COUNTRY Financial Operation Helping Heroes donation.

Stob presented the donation for $750 to the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans to assist with the general fund that provides veterans and their families with housing and supportive services that lead to self-sufficiency.

"I am very grateful that COUNTRY Financial and I can help veterans who have given so much to, and for our country," said Stob. "We are all blessed because of what you have given and sacrificed. We cannot thank our veterans enough!"

"Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans is grateful to Deb Stob and her team at COUNTRY Financial," said Christine Lewis, executive director of Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. "They have rallied around our veterans in a challenging time; when need for services has increased by 25 percent. The COUNTRY Financial team are inspirational and lead our community to be #bettertogether!"

COUNTRY Financial will donate more $3 million in 2020 to organizations and programs that support first responders, military organizations and health care workers, supporting the company's vision to "enrich lives in the communities we serve."

The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support nonprofit events and programs that benefit active duty service members, veterans and their families.

In 2019, COUNTRY Financial expanded the program and donated $700,000 to approximately 500 first responder and military organizations.
