Restaurant Introduces Books and Breakfast Series for Kids

First it was new management, then a new name followed by a new menu. Now an Arlington Heights restaurant is looking to attract new customers - the kid crowd. WynBurg Cafe, a popular spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch in the Northpoint Shopping Center is introducing a Books and Breakfast series for kids 4 to 6 and their families.

The monthly series begins Monday, March 23 with story time beginning at 9:00 a.m. and a breakfast featuring mini-pancakes and a juice box at 9:30. The price is just $3 per child while parents and grandparents can order from the extensive WynBurg menu featuring traditional options along with new concepts like chilaquiles and s'mores pancakes.

"We've really enjoyed getting to know so many families in the area who come in on the weekends," said WynBurg Cafe co-owner Steve Hamburg. "We thought it would be fun to offer a little weekday outing as well when things tend to be a bit quieter."

"This can become a nice tradition for moms, dads and grandparents to do with a group every month," added co-owner Patty Wynne. "The mini-pancakes and juice boxes will be a hit. Now it's up to us to come up with some good stories to read!"

Future events are set for April 22, May 18 and June 17.

A reservation can be made for the March 23 or any subsequent event by visiting www.wynburg-cafe.com/#bnb. WynBurg Cafe is located at 306 East Rand Road near the corner of Rand Road and Arlington Heights Road. For more details, call 847-398-8900.
