West Chicago's Blooming Fest looking for garden, craft and food vendors

The City of West Chicago is now accepting applications for vendors for its annual downtown garden festival, Blooming Fest, scheduled on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Organized by city staff and community volunteers, the event combines the West Chicago Garden Club's annual plant sale with a craft and fine art show, car exhibit, children's activities, music, food and more.

The current focus is on attracting artists and crafters with a garden-related emphasis, and food vendors.

Booth space is available at a minimal cost, with no charge for nonprofit organizations and downtown tax increment financing district business vendors.

Applications for vendor space are available online at https://westchicago.org/city-events/west-chicago-blooming-fest/.

The deadline for vendor applications is Friday, April 17.

Space is limited.
