Glenbard to present teen health update Feb. 13

B-PAC: Glenbard Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee and GPS: Glenbard Parent Series in Spanish will present a "Teen Health Update" at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Glenbard North High School, 990 N. Kuhn Road in Carol Stream.

Dr. W. Daniel Perez, a board-certified specialist in pediatrics with AMITA Health, will share tips to keep youth healthy and engaged as active participants in their own care.

Odalinda Avila from Healthcare Alternative Systems will discuss the health impact of alcohol and other drugs and the communication skills parents/guardians need for meaningful conversations.

Students and their families are invited to attend together. A light dinner will be served.

GPS is generously sponsored by the Cebrin Goodman Center, Community Consolidated School District 93 Birth to 5 Community Coalition, Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE), College of DuPage, DuPage Medical Group, Emmy Gaffey Foundation, Glenbard Early Childhood Collaborative, Holiday Inn/Carol Stream and Prevention Leadership Team of the DuPage County Health Department.
