Downers Grove North Swim & Dive Team breaks school's 11-year-old record

Congratulations to Trey McDonald, Charlie Platt, Derrick Ryden and Jack Larson, members of the Downers Grove North High School men's swim and dive team, for breaking the school's 11-year-old record for the freshmen/sophomore 200-meter free relay, with a time of 1:35.02.

They were competing Jan. 11 at the Freshmen/Sophomore Superhero Invite at York Community High School in Elmhurst.

Overall, the Downers Grove North Swim Team finished in first and broke meet records in the 200-meter freestyle relay, 450-meter freestyle relay, and 8x25-meter donut relay.

Special shoutout to Charlie Platt for breaking the 50-meter backstroke record.
