Summer Kicks into Gear with Face N Time at Hawthorn Woods Concert in the Park

Summer is here and Face N Time is returning to Hawthorn Woods' Concert in the Park on Friday, June 28, at 6:30pm in the pavilion at 42 Park View Lane.

Let's take another look on the stage at the newest member of the band - part 2 in our series introducing fans to FNT.

Paul McKinney has played guitar for over 30 years, including studying at Harper College in Palatine, and while there performing in the Classical Guitar ensemble. He has played many styles, including Rock, Blues, Metal, Bluegrass, Ska, Reggae, Fingerstyle,

Ragtime, Classical and Jazz.

As a member of the premier Milwaukee Ska /Reggae band The Invaders, Paul recorded three albums and enjoyed local and regional success, playing venues such as Summerfest, The Rave / Eagles Ball Room, Metro, Wild Hare. He also toured on the East Coast and through the Midwest. While with the Invaders, Paul won 2 WAMI's (Wisconsin Area Music Awards) and was privileged to share the stage with such bands as No Doubt, The Specials, The English Beat, and The Mighty Mighty Boss Tones.

Paul then moved to Chapel Hill, NC, where he taught guitar full time, quickly building up a roster of 30+ students, all while recording and touring with Regatta 69 and Reggae artist Kimbute.

Upon moving back to Chicago, Paul played solo acoustic shows and fronted

The Paul McKinney Group. Nominated for 6 straight years as "Top Acoustic Band" in

Suburban Nitelife Magazine, The PMG has played in many Chicago venues including

Durty Nellies, Abbey Pub, JJ Kelly's and more.

The PMG recorded a six song CD of Paul's original compositions in 2007, called "The Coachouse Tapes" which was met with favorable reviews in the Illinois Entertainer and elsewhere. After The PMG, Paul played lead guitar in the high octane 80's band The Atari Age, and most recently led the popular acoustic vocal harmony band, Light and Shade, which continued performing and recording until July, 2018.

FNT is excited to welcome Paul to the family debuting summer 2019!
