Glenbard students selected for music All State Festival

Several Glenbard District 87 students were selected to perform in the All State Festival as part of the Illinois Music Educators Association Conference in January.

Congratulations to the following students:

• Glenbard East students Sam Greetis, trumpet, All-State Band; Marjhé Mason, tenor 1, All-State Choir; Matthew Bacon, bass 2, Honors All-State Choir; Demetri Sepsis, tenor 2, Honors All-State Choir; Graeme Leighton, tenor, All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble; Sara Austin, Future Music Educator Seminar, strings; Aneesah Phillips, Future Music Educator Seminar, choir; Michael Severino, Future Music Educator Seminar, choir; Kayla Sisouphonh, Future Music Educator Seminar, choir; Taylor Hanks, All-State composer, honorable mention, arranging, "In the Central Steppes"; Graeme Leighton, All-State composer, honorable mention, arranging, "Animal Spirits"; Ethan Prado, All-State composer, 3rd place, electronic dance music, "Freeze"; and Ethan Prado, All-State composer, 3rd place, instrumental - solo to chamber ensemble, "Flâneur en Maroc."

• Glenbard North students Nick O'Brien on trumpet in band and Thomas Kent tenor 2 in the Honors All-State choir.

• Glenbard South student Taylor Solomon on trumpet in the band.

• Glenbard West students Ben Kelleher on euphonium in band, Timothy Holman on viola in orchestra and Jack Vu on bass 2 in honors chorus.
