Midwest Cheer Elite to host grand opening Oct. 26

Midwest Cheer Elite, a one-stop-training center for aspiring cheerleaders, tumblers, dancers, and ninjas, invites the community to a grand opening celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at the center, 999 W. Main St. in West Dundee.

Stop by for the free celebration, try a class, and check out the offerings and schedules.

You can meet the owners and instructors and roam the spacious 12,000-square-foot gym.

Enjoy a special visit by former Chicago Bears Cheerleaders, the Honey Bears, who will sign copies of their new book, "Missing from the Sidelines" (available for purchase at the event). A portion of the book sales will be donated to the "Shining Stars" Special Abilities cheer team.

Classes are geared to all ages starting at 3 years old and all skill levels.

Classes include competitive and non-competitive cheer (cheer and dance for children and young adults with special needs), dance (tap, jazz, tricks, hip hop and more), tumbling, and ninja training.
