Don't Miss 'Stan's Donut 5K and Kids Dash' at Montrose Harbor

Do you love donuts, or even the thought of donuts playing a starring role in a 5K? The second annual Stan's Donut 5K and Kid's Dash is coming soon to Chicago's Montrose Harbor! This family-friendly event is sponsored by the iconic Stan's Donuts and High Brew Coffee and is produced by Adrenaline Special Events. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Participants of this donut-themed fun run and walk will receive a dri-fit event shirt, a finisher's medal and Stan's Donuts will be available for all runners and walkers at aid stations throughout the course!

"This event is meant for runners of all levels; fast racers, weekend joggers, kids, in addition to those who want to walk it…everyone is welcome, as long as they enjoy great donuts!" said ASE Founder Aaron Del Mar. "We are very proud to continue our partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and our support of their important work."

Adults with children in strollers are also welcome but must start in the back of the pack for their safety. The Stan's Donuts 5K is an officially timed event, using the disposable B-Tag timing system. Serious runners can visit the Stan's Donut 5K website (below) for all the official requirements.

Charity beneficiary, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, partners with 700 agencies and distributes food throughout Cook County. It programs including food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters, and responds to the needs of children, older adults and veterans.

Stan's Donuts 5K will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 with the runners starting off at 8:00 a.m., walkers at 9:00 a.m. and the Kids Dash at 10:30 p.m. The Kids Dash is sponsored by Ultimate Ninjas and all children will receive a Stan's Donut t-shirt with the Ultimate Ninja logo and a meet and greet with the Ultimate Ninjas.
