Bioethics & Being Human: CBHD's 25th Annual Summer Conference
The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity will host its 25th annual summer conference on June 21-23, 2018, on the campus of Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. The 3-day conference brings together thought leaders, experts, and practitioners from a variety of professions and academic disciplines to explore what it means to be human in light of the ever-evolving developments in medicine, science, and technology.
Conference plenaries will examine topics such as the ethical implications of genetic engineering and neuroscience; bioethics in literature and pop culture; human rights and dignity; and philosophical and theological evaluations of contentment and human flourishing as they relate to bioethics. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity for interactive engagement in workshops and parallel paper sessions on a wide spectrum of perennial and emerging issues in contemporary bioethics. The conference also provides an excellent venue for professional networking with others interested in the field of bioethics. Continuing medical education credit is available.
