Meet Chicago Northwest celebrates 35th anniversary

Meet Chicago Northwest - which once upon a time was called the Greater Woodfield Convention & Visitors Bureau - celebrated its 35th anniversary Wednesday with a reception in Schaumburg coinciding with the marking of the 35th annual National Tour and Travel Week.

Several past board chairs attended the annual partnership meeting and reception at Chandler's.

Though its name has evolved since 1983, the agency continues to represent several Northwest suburbs' efforts to boost their economies and hospitality industries through tourism.

Continuing members of the organization are Arlington Heights, Elk Grove Village, Itasca, Rolling Meadows, Roselle, Schaumburg, Streamwood and Wood Dale.
