Glenbard Parent Series continues with 'Using Science for Good' March 1

The "Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families" will present "Using Science for Good: Innovation, Inequality, and Imagination in the 21st Century" with Ruha Benjamin at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Glenbard South High School, 23W200 Butterfield Road in Glen Ellyn.

Science and technology are used to address a variety of human problems by producing data and tools to help us understand our world and ourselves.

Benjamin, an assistant professor at Princeton University, will examine a range of contemporary issues at the intersection of data and democracy and bring awareness to the debate on science, technology and education so that a greater array of people may contribute to the design of the world. Students are encouraged to attend.
