Pianist Jeffrey LaDeur to conclude Norris Gallery concert series on Mother's Day

Pianist Jeffrey LaDeur will perform a solo concert of music by Debussy and Liszt at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 14, in the final event of the current "Music in the Gallery" series at the Dellora A. Norris Cultural Arts Center, 1040 Dunham Road in St. Charles.

"We're ending our season on Mother's Day with a concert that will be a perfect complement to anyone's Mother's Day celebration," said James L. Collins, Norris board chairman.

LaDeur, a St. Charles native now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, has concertized around the world, including performances at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the Banff Centre for the Arts, and the Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt, Germany.

Recent concerto appearances include performances with the Oakland Symphony, the San Jose Chamber Orchestra and the Denver Philharmonic.

In addition to his solo career, LaDeur is founding pianist of the internationally acclaimed Delphi Trio and is founder and artistic director of the New Piano Collective and the San Francisco International Piano Festival. He holds performance degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. LaDeur is a 2004 graduate of St. Charles East High School.

Collins also acknowledged the Norris' gratitude to Meyers & Flowers Trial Attorneys for the firm's ongoing sponsorship of the "Music in the Gallery" concert series.

"It's hard to imagine that we could have presented more than 25 events during the past three seasons without the support we have received from Meyers & Flowers," Collins said.
