Glenbard parenting program in Spanish: A Survival Guide to Parenting Boys
The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Spanish will present A Survival Guide to Parenting Boys: Raising a Healthier Generation of Boys and Young Men with Glenbard East High School school psychologist Mariana Proske on Wednesday, April 19.
All parents hope their boys will become mature, confident, respectful and thoughtful men. Along with the joy of raising boys, there are concerns. Why is it so difficult for adults to talk to boys and learn what they are thinking?
In this talk, we will help parents and guardians better understand boys' inner world and identify the social and emotional challenges they encounter. When we better understand boys, we can give them the vital connections and support they need and help them feel safe, achieve academically and thrive.
This free GPS event presented in Spanish will begin at 7 p.m. April 19 in the library at Glenbard East, 1014 S. Main St. in Lombard.
CPDUs are available.
