Gulbrandson Orthotics donates prosthetics to amputees in the Dominican Republic

Gil Gulbrandson, orthotist and owner of Gulbrandson Orthotics, has donated prosthetic components to 2ft Prosthetics.

It is a charitable organization serving amputees from all over the world. The need for affordable prosthetic legs in developing countries is steadily growing.

Some of the primary causes of limb loss in these countries are disease, natural disasters, accidents, birth defects, and warfare.

High-tech prosthetic devices can restore a person's basic skills and independence, but they are very expensive. One leg at a time, 2ft Prosthetics is making every effort to provide a solution for these amputees, giving them opportunity to live their lives again, to take pride in enjoying the fruits of their own labor, and to stand with hope.

The prosthetic components from Gulbrandson Orthotics are being donated to a clinic in the Dominican Republic. Gulbrandson Orthotics is at 2615 Three Oaks Road, Suite 1B, Cary, IL 60013, or (847)639-4140.
