Blackhawks CEO to speak at Benedictine

Blackhawks President and CEO John F. McDonough will speak at Benedictine University at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, in the Goodwin Hall Auditorium as part of a program sponsored by BenU's Office of University Development.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear exclusive behind-the-scenes insight from McDonough about his experience with the Blackhawks, as well as directly ask him questions. Tickets are $35 for the event and personal meet-and-greet session with McDonough at 6:00 p.m.; $20 for general admission; and $5 for Benedictine University students.

McDonough joined the Blackhawks in 2007 as president and was named president and CEO in 2011. Under his guidance, in what Forbes magazine has called "the greatest sports-business turnaround ever," the Blackhawks have revitalized the team's profile and re-energized their fan base. Since McDonough joined the Blackhawks, the team has won the Stanley Cup in 2010, 2013 and 2015, becoming the first organization in the NHL's salary-cap era to capture three championships.
