Warrenville's Trinity Lutheran joins in Service Day Sept. 13

Trinity Lutheran Church in Warrenville will be one of nearly 10,000 congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America participating in "God's work. Our hands" on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015.

Across the country, thousands of ELCA members will be engaging in service work to make a positive change in their communities, build and deepen relationships and share God's love.

The members and friends of Trinity Lutheran Church will be doing a variety of activities on Sept. 13. Examples of the activities include cleaning a section of the Prairie Path in Warrenville, sending cards to Veterans, wrapping children's birthday presents, packing healthy lunches for the DuPage PADS Shelter, helping out at the Discoveries Resale Shop and other humanitarian efforts.

For more than 25 years, the ELCA is a church deeply rooted in faith and in sharing its passion for making positive changes in the world. It joins other ELCA congregations across the country to boldly participate in God's work in the world - restoring and reconciling communities, and pursuing peace and justice.
