Believe Project: $100 to aunt who was full-time caretaker of parents

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Gayle Politowicz of Elgin.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

"For over 20 years my aunt was a full-time caretaker of my grandparents.

"In order to care for her parents who had ailments of Alzheimer's and breast cancer, my aunt chose a self-employed career with no health insurance of her own. The love and care my aunt provided gave her parents a quality of life until the end.

"My aunt remains in the house they shared together for over 50 years, the house she was born in. There is a never-ending need for repairs and medical bills. I would give the $100 to my aunt."

• The Believe Project will mail a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else. Email us your pitch of 100 words or fewer (include your name, address and hometown) to specialevents@dailyherald.com.
