Volunteers and donations are needed for Northbrook Community Synagogue's Feed-A-Family Project

As the Jewish holiday of Purim approaches, Northbrook Community Synagogue will hold its Annual Purim Feed-A-Family project, one of the synagogue's social action/chesed activities. The Feed-A-Family project assists the community's needy by delivering generous food parcels and holiday cash stipends to families referred to the synagogue by the ARK. The ARK is Chicago's major social service agency serving the needs of the Jewish poor. The synagogue is increasing the scope of this project to assist more than 48 families comprised of 300 adults and children. Deliveries will be made on Sunday, March 1.

Financial support is the foundation for the success of the Feed-A-Family project. Donations are used to purchase the food and household products the volunteers deliver to the needy. Checks should be payable to NCS Feed-A-Family Project and should be sent to or dropped of at Northbrook Community Synagogue, 2548 Jasper Court, Northbrook, IL 60062.

For more information about the project, call the synagogue at 847-509-9204.
