Prairie Singers summer concert "Songs Across America" June 22

A great afternoon of fun and patriotic remembrances are yours to enjoy at "Songs Across America."

Sun City Huntley's Prairie Singers will perform its summer concert on Sunday, June 22.

More than 70 residents of Sun City Huntley join together to produce the harmonious music of the Prairie Singers presenting "Songs Across America."

This group has been a part of the entertainment activities of the Sun City community for more than 14 years. They give two concerts each year.

This summer concert is this year's first contribution to the great Sun City life style that they wish to share with all their residents and the general public.

The music of this concert is of a very patriotic nature interlaced with some great old lively and sentimental songs.

You must be prepared to clap and hum along with some of these great old tunes, Like "Mississippi Mud," "Chattanooga Choo Choo" and "Big City Swing." Your heart will feel the patriotic tone of "America, Our Home," "This is My Country," and "United We Stand."

The concert will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at the Huntley High School auditorium, 13719 Harmony Road.

This is a great family or couples, afternoon of entertainment.

For ticket information, call (847) 659-1185. Tickets will be on sale just inside the Prairie Lodge Center Main entrance on Friday, June 13, as well as at the entrance to the performance, they are also available in the lobbies of local banks.

Tickets are $10 or $3 for children, age 2-12.
