Resolve To Get Health Coverage For The New Year

The DuPage County Health Department is urging residents who have not yet enrolled in the Affordable Care Act to use the New Year to resolve to get healthcare coverage. Open enrollment ends on March 31.

Residents who are comfortable navigating the marketplace on their own (and online) can visit www.getcoveredillinois.gov. The Marketplace is a website designed to help residents apply for coverage, compare insurance options, and enroll in healthcare coverage. Families who do not have access to other affordable, quality coverage, such as Medicare, Medicaid, or employer-sponsored insurance, may also be eligible for financial help to reduce the costs of their monthly premiums and medical expenses.

Residents with questions or needing assistance in signing up for healthcare can contact Enroll DuPage. Enroll DuPage is a one-stop source for information regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Residents can schedule an appointment with one of our specially trained navigators and get any questions answered as well as receive help navigating the online marketplace. Call 888-724-0077 to schedule an appointment.

Residents interested in attending an ACA 101 presentation are encouraged to visit enrolldupage.org/events to learn when and where a presentation will be held. These presentations provide an overview of the Affordable Care Act and explain how the new law will affect individuals.
