Local Dentist brings smiles to Wheaton veterans' shelter

During the month of November, Dr. Blacher donated 25% of the proceeds from fluoride sales to the shelter.

The Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans is a non-profit agency based in DuPage County, Illinois that provides transitional and affordable housing, a comprehensive array of supportive services and community outreach to help homeless and at-risk veterans and their families achieve self-sufficiency.

Founded by veterans in 2007, the Midwest Shelter ope rates on a vision of no veteran left behind due to homelessness, joblessness, poverty and/or mental-health issues. About Dr. Brett Blacher:

Dr. Blacher has been practicing dentistry in the Chicago suburbs for over 14 years and believes in giving back to his community. Dr. Blacher is an active participant in neighborhood doings and children's sports leagues as well as other charity events. During 2013, in addition to the contributions to the veterans' shelter, Dr. Blacher and his team participated in the American Lung Association's “Climb for Air” and The American Cancer Society's, “Relay for Life.
