Learn facts, myths about suburban coyotes June 22
The Oak Brook Garden Club and The Salt Creek Greenway Association present "Suburban Coyotes" with speaker Jack MacRae, Naturalist, Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, Saturday, June 22nd, 1:30 pm at the Oak Brook Public Library, 600 Oak Brook Rd., Oak Brook.
Coyotes have adapted to living with humans in suburbia over many years. They prefer a nocturnal lifestyle, and until recently were seldom seen. Now, as sightings become common, we need to learn more about coyotes.
How do they live, what do they hunt and eat, how do we protect our small pets and what should we do if our paths cross? Jack will answer these and many more questions as we explore coyote myths and facts. Gain a deeper understanding of the role coyotes play in the natural world and how we can better co-exist with them in our daily lives.
