Larkin 6, East Aurora 5: Jon Jowaski’s 2-run double in the bottom of the seventh gave the Royals a walk off Upstate Eight crossover victory in Elgin. Larkin trailed 5-0 through three innings, but Niko Morado doubled and drove in 3 runs and Rob Bond went 2-for-2 with a double for Larkin (5-9, 2-8). Will King (2-2) earned the victory by pitching 5 innings of 2-hit relief. He allowed an earned run, struck out 3 and issued a walk for the Royals, who play a doubleheader against Elgin at Trout Park today at 10 a.m.
Burlington Central 4, Harvard 1: Michael Scott’s run-scoring infield single gave the Rockets a fifth-inning lead and Cody Schuver’s 2-run single in the sixth provided more cushion in this Big Northern East victory. Jake Schutta (2-0) struck out 6 and walked 2 in 6 innings. He limited the Hornets to 1 earned run on 4 hits. Ryan Schuring pitched a scoreless seventh inning to earn the save for Burlington Central (7-6, 6-1).
Marmion 12, St. Edward 2: The Cadets outhit the Green Wave 14-5 to win in five innings in a Suburban Christian crossover in Aurora. Mikey Castoro singled, walked, scored and drove in a run. Jack Tierney suffered the loss for St. Edward (10-5, 8-3).
McHenry 13, Crystal Lake South 9: The Warriors outhit the first-place Gators 12-9 and won despite committing 5 errors. McHenry (14-6, 8-2) solved previously unbeaten CL South pitcher Eric Schiller (3-1), who allowed 9 earned runs on 10 hits. He struck out 4 and walked none in 4 innings. Troy Bittenbender and Jake Bigos doubled and Tom Gaede went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI for CL South (11-2, 8-2).
Huntley 10, Dundee-Crown 0: The Red Raiders erupted for 7 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to finish off the visiting Chargers in FVC Valley action. Senior Jake Wagner pitched 5 scoreless inning, allowing just 3 hits and 2 walks without a strikeout. Tommy Regan struck out 2 to earn a 1-inning save. Bryce Only doubled and drove in 3 runs, and Nick Cusumano and Tyler Mindak each contributed 2 hits and drove in a run for Huntley (15-2, 9-2).
Losing pitcher Nick Lodi allowed 6 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits and 3 walks. He struck out 1 in 5 innings. Dylan Kissack doubled and walked for Dundee-Crown (6-9, 4-6).
Grayslake North 13, Hampshire 5: The Knights (8-4, 5-5) collected 7 extra basehits and outhit host Hampshire 17-10 to win this Fox Valley Conference Fox Division game. Piotr Barnas, Dillon Kuhn and Brandon Bowen each contributed 2 hits for Hampshire (7-8, 1-7). Tyler Crater (0-3) took the loss.

Elgin Community College 13, Olive-Harvey 1: John Menken (3-for-3, 2 2B, BB, 3 RBI), Sean Reszotko (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI) and Nate Pearson (2-for-3, BB, 2 RBI) paced the offense and Tim Tarter (5 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 7 K, 0 BB) earned the win in Chicago for ECC (23-15-1).
