Hats off to Fecarotta for a job well done
With the township elections fast approaching, it is important to note one person whose name won’t appear on the ballot in April in Schaumburg Township. Highway Commissioner Robert Fecarotta has decided not to run for another term.
When we first got involved in local politics in Schaumburg as students, Bobby was one of the first elected officials to help us to better understand the workings of township government. He has been an extremely valuable source of information on what has been going on in township government over the last few years.
He has been a taxpayer watchdog and often times gone against what his own party was doing. He has been a constant voice against what he believed to be waste and inefficiency in Schaumburg Township.
He also knows the importance of getting young people involved in local government.
Bobby has been a great asset for taxpayers in Schaumburg Township. We need more elected officials of Bobby’s integrity and honesty.
He stands up for what he believes in and doesn’t let anyone push him around. Taxpayers would be wise to continue what Bobby has been doing and keep a watchful eye over how our tax dollars are spent at the township level.
Schaumburg Township has consistently had a balanced budget; however we must strive to do what Bobby has done and call out wasteful spending wherever possible.
