Grant redoubles its effort in OT

Grant’s boys basketball team will take them any way it can get them.

This weekend, it took overtime.

Twice.

Grant played OT in a nonconference game Saturday for the second time in as many nights, and the Bulldogs prevailed again, edging host Highland Park 57-53.

Junior forward Steve Dunning scored a career-high 21 points, as Grant (4-4) rallied from a 36-29 deficit after three quarters. The Bulldogs outscored the Giants 18-11 in the fourth and 10-6 in extra time.

Matt Malmberg added 11 points for Grant, while Rayvon Jones had 8.
