Advocate Health Care, Walgreens partner to offer flu shots
Advocate Health Care and Walgreens are partnering to bring flu shots to the Antioch community.
Shots will be offered from 9 am to noon on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the United Methodist Church of Antioch, 848 Main St.
No appointment is necessary. The program is open to members of United Methodist Church of Antioch, St. Stephen Lutheran Church and St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church, as well as the community at large.
Flu shots will be provided at no cost for those without insurance. Vaccinations are for those 10 and older. Uninsured children ages 6 months to 9 years old will receive a voucher for a complimentary vaccination at a Walgreens retail clinic.
Vaccinations also will be offered to those covered by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance. Walgreens will bill Medicare, Medicaid or the private provider. Please bring a Medicare, Medicaid or insurance card. Medicaid patients must be 19 or older to receive the vaccine.
